Your Thanksgiving Turkey, Raised on Pasture

Turkey worth gathering around
Thanksgiving dinner has a way of bringing everyone into the kitchen. The oven is working overtime, somebody is sneaking bites of stuffing, and the turkey sits at the center of it all. When the centerpiece comes from a local farm—and you know how it was raised—the meal feels even more meaningful.
Pat’s Pastured has been raising turkeys for holiday tables since 2002. Our birds spend their days outside with fresh air, sunshine, and room to move, graze, hunt, and forage. They are also fed non-GMO grain. That active life on pasture is good for the turkeys, and it produces the full turkey flavor our customers look forward to each year.
Why choose pasture-raised?

The birds can act like turkeys
Turkeys are curious, active animals. On pasture, they have space to move and the opportunity to forage—the natural behaviors they were made for. Thoughtful animal care is not an extra at Pat’s; it is part of how we farm.
Your purchase stays close to home
Choosing a locally raised turkey supports a Rhode Island farm, helps sustain local agricultural jobs, and keeps more food dollars circulating in the community. It also shortens the distance between the farm and your Thanksgiving table.
Pasture is part of the farm system
We move our turkeys so the land can be nourished rather than depleted. As the birds forage, they help manage insects and other pasture life, while their manure returns nutrients to the soil. That relationship among animals, soil, and grass is an important part of regenerative agriculture at Pat’s Pastured.
The flavor speaks for itself
A bird that has moved and foraged develops rich, distinct turkey flavor. Keep the seasoning simple, cook it carefully, and let a well-raised bird be the centerpiece it deserves to be.
How ordering works

Reserve your turkey through Pat’s Pastured and choose the pickup location and window that works for you. Quantities and size ranges may be limited as Thanksgiving approaches, so ordering early gives you the best selection. Keep your order confirmation handy and double-check your chosen location before you leave home.
Because Pat’s Pastured turkeys are sold frozen, plan freezer or refrigerator space before pickup. When it is time to thaw, place the wrapped bird on a rimmed tray in the refrigerator.
