Pasture-Raised Stewing Hens – Perfect for Broths, Soups & Slow Cooking

Our pasture-raised stewing hens are a true farm-to-table staple, cherished for their rich, full-bodied flavor. Unlike younger meat birds, these older hens aren’t very meaty—but what they lack in tenderness, they more than make up for in deep, savory taste. Their bones and connective tissue release incredible nutrients and richness, making them the perfect choice for homemade soups, stews, stocks, and broths.

Because these hens are raised on open pastures, they enjoy a natural life—free to forage, scratch, and roam the way chickens were meant to. This pasture-based lifestyle creates one of the healthiest proteins you can serve your family: nutrient-dense, flavorful, and raised with care.

Stewing hens are ideal for braising or other long, slow cooks, where time and gentle heat transform their firm meat into something special. If you’re looking for authentic flavor and a nourishing base for your favorite comfort foods, these birds deliver every time.

Bring home a pasture-raised stewing hen and taste the difference—wholesome, hearty, and just as nature intended.
