Beef, Ancestral Ground / "Not Too Offal"

$16.25

1 lb of Ancestral Ground Beef
Ingredients: Ground Grass-Fed Beef, Beef Liver, Beef Heart

Organ meat offers an extensive nutritional profile (i.e iron, copper, Vitamin A and B Vitamins like folate, riboflavin, Vitamin B12, etc.), and can be a hugely beneficial addition to your diet. However, the notion of consuming organ meat on its own can be intimidating to a lot of folks. When mixed with ground beef, the sometimes strong or gamey flavor of the organs is virtually undetectable, but you're still benefiting from the offal's inclusion in the mix!

"Not Too Offal" is our modern interpretation of the ancestral way of consuming food, which included eating the nutrient-dense organ meat as well as what we're used to today. Organ meats are also great for pregnant women when consumed in moderation. The offal’s content of zinc and other immune-boosting minerals provide vital nutrients to the mom-to-be and her growing fetus.

Another reason to enjoy our "Not Too Offal" is to take advantage of the concept of "nose to tail" eating, in which no part of the animal goes to waste. Therefore, this type of diet is not only sustainable but also provides you with vital nutrients you may have missed out on by not eating organ meats. It is genuinely a win, win situation for all knowing you are honoring the whole animal for your nourishment and you are doing your bit to reduce food waste.
