Help Rebuild Lives of Our Jamaican Farm Crew
Our Pat’s Pastured family is asking for your help. Many of the men who make our farm possible each season—our crew from Jamaica—have been deeply affected by Hurricane Melissa. Many of the guys have not been able to get in contact with their families yet as the storm has devastated homes and communities, and the road to rebuilding will be long.
Barrett, Christopher, Daniel, Floyd, Jason, Levy, Raymond, and Shane come to Rhode Island through the H-2A agricultural visa program, which allows skilled farmers to work seasonally on U.S. farms. These men are the heart of our daily work—the ones caring for animals, tending pastures, and helping feed our community. It’s not about where you’re from—it’s about what you do. And what they do matters deeply.
All funds raised here will go directly to our Jamaican crew members and their families to help them rebuild and recover. You can also donate gift cards (Walmart, Target, Home Depot, Harbor Freight Tools, etc.) to help them purchase supplies and ship them back home. Gift cards can be dropped off at our farm store or emailed to office@patspastured.com

If you’ve met any of these men, you know how hardworking, kind, and vital they are to our farm and our food system. Please join us in giving back to those who give so much.
